Doctors Without Borders: Haiti Aid Planes refused landings
Uploaded by: RussiaToday
Video Description:
France has accused the U.S. of occupying quake-devastated Haiti, saying Washington is hindering the relief effort with its troops surge. More foreign soldiers and police are being sent to the Island-nation, where looting and violence are on the rise, as people are still desperate for vital supplies - a week after the disaster. The French minister in charge of humanitarian relief, Alain Joyandet, has asked the UN to clarify America's role in Haiti. He says after US troops took charge of the main airport, they've been turning away aircraft carrying aid, in favour of military planes. French President Nicolas Sarkozy's office tried to play down reports of the rift with the U.S, saying cooperation between the two countries was going well. But the charity Doctors without Borders backed Joyandet's call to the UN, adding that aid delays threaten lives.

he also left out dominica republic's trujillo racist genocide of haitians in the 50s and 60s.
But then again, so does Russia and China which begs the question of why the fuck they spend so much on their military and foreign wars when they have so many who are poor?
"you're dumb to think the us, who has never been friendly to haiti, is now there to "help" the haitians."
And neither is anybody else. So what's your point?

Good turned into bad. Which in this case is not just bad for the US, but it's a disaster for the People dying there.
The US government has made the greatest effort to save the lives of Haitians. Is that so wrong? Things go wrong, but overwhelmingly the response has been excellent. Just ask the Haitians.
The larger scale of corruption? Is helping people a crime? Who cares what the U.S. has done or is doing anywhere else--they're helping Haitians now. The US isn't taking over, which it could do at a whim. They're not pillaging, raping and murdering. They're helping. So instead of hating on America when it does something good, perhaps you should get out of your paranoia box and just accept it for what it is. There doesn't need to be a debate here.
At least they're helping, unlike you. You're stuck here on Youtube whining about how terrible a job the US is doing, and making up lies. I know people who are working their right now working for charity and they have said wonderful things about the progress being made there. Who should I trust...them, or you? That's right, the people OVER there. As for you, quit making others look bad when you are so uninvolved in matter that you berate people on youtube who talk positively.
